Mukauyo Terms of Use

Effective date: 2026-09-20

These terms apply to Mukauyo, offered in Japan and the United States. The operator is Masaki Kubota. The English terms are the controlling version; the Japanese version is provided as a reference translation.

1. The service

Mukauyo coordinates immediate pickup requests within a private group. A requester shares one current-location snapshot and a registered destination with trusted helpers. The first eligible helper who accepts becomes assigned.

Mukauyo is not an emergency, medical, dispatch, transportation, or location- tracking service. If you are in danger, contact local emergency services.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and located in Japan or the United States to use Mukauyo. You authenticate with Sign in with Apple and must protect access to your device and Apple account. Each person may belong to one pickup group.

Group nicknames should help group members recognize one another. Do not use the service to impersonate someone, harass others, share an invitation publicly, or request unlawful activity.

3. Group responsibilities

The fixed group administrator invites members, assigns each member one pickup activity role, selects destinations, and manages the paid plan. A member may be the requester, a helper, or waiting for setup; requester and helper roles are not combined. The requester decides when to share a pickup snapshot. Eligible helpers decide whether to accept and provide an ETA. Group members are responsible for their own safety, communication outside the app, driving, and compliance with applicable law.

Push notifications and estimated arrival times are not guaranteed. Always open the authenticated app to confirm the server-authoritative request state.

4. Location and permissions

The requester must choose a registered destination and grant foreground location access to send a pickup request. Mukauyo does not offer manual location entry, continuous tracking, scheduled pickup, or guaranteed delivery. A failed request is not queued for later transmission.

5. Subscriptions

Free supports up to three enabled helpers. The administrator uses a helper slot only when assigned as a helper. Family Monthly supports up to ten while the subscription entitlement is active. Only the group administrator purchases the plan.

Family Monthly is an auto-renewable monthly subscription. Before purchasing, review the price, renewal terms, and trial eligibility shown by Apple. Manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple account settings. Eligible purchases can be restored in the app. Role-free invitations do not require a paid plan. The administrator can open the purchase screen from Plan, or when attempting to assign a fourth helper. TestFlight purchases use Apple's Sandbox and do not create real charges; this applies to test distribution only.

Deleting a Mukauyo account does not cancel the Apple subscription. When Family becomes inactive, members remain in the group, but helpers beyond the three enabled on Free are paused. A helper already assigned to a pickup can still complete or withdraw from it.

6. Deletion and termination

A non-administrator member may leave a group when they are not the requester or assigned helper in an active request. Account deletion remains available immediately: deleting a non-administrator requester cancels the active request and leaves the group without a requester; deleting an assigned helper withdraws or expires the request before removal. Deleting the fixed administrator account deletes the group and its associated application data. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, or respond to misuse.

7. Service availability and changes

Mukauyo depends on device permissions, internet connectivity, Apple services, Cloudflare, RevenueCat, and group-member action. The service may be unavailable, delayed, interrupted, changed, or discontinued and must not be relied on for emergencies or guaranteed transportation.

8. Privacy

The Mukauyo Privacy Policy describes collection, use, sharing, retention, and deletion of information.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

To the extent permitted by applicable law, these terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance for disputes arising from or relating to Mukauyo or these terms.
